Next Session: Wednesday 18th June: The Sound of Music (11.00am – 2.00pm)

Artist John Hall and baker Kate Maddock invite you to Powsowdie – a project aimed at older people in the community, which combines food and music for free lunchtime sessions of fun and reminiscence!

Each Powsowdie will have its own unique theme, and includes a hearty and nutritious lunch, freshly prepared by Kate and her team of volunteers on the day!

  What’s your favourite Musical on stage or screen? Oklahoma, Les Mis, Paint your Wagon – let us know!
• Tuesday 15th July: It Was 50 Years Ago Today (11.00am – 2.00pm)
  50 years of milling – Princess Alexandra opens the mill to the public (1975 vibes). Settle in for some memories and a very fine banquet.
• Wednesday 17th September: Bed of Roses (11.00am – 2.00pm)
  What personal associations do you hold with flowers and plants? A favourite tree perhaps or plant you were given. What’s the connection.
• Wednesday 15th October: We Are the Champions (11.00am – 2.00pm)
  Which sports do you like? What did you play? Tell us about school sports days or teams you support and why.
• Wednesday 5th November: Rubbing Shoulders (11.00am – 2.00pm)
  Have you ever met a celebrity? Meeting and sightings of famous people – tell us who!
• Wednesday 3rd December: All I Want for Christmas (11.00am – 2.00pm)
  It’s all about those festive gifts – given or received, and seasonal acts of kindness. Tell us about your memories of them.
