Preparing flour for baking

Hands-On: Baking with Kate

Next Baking Session: Wednesday 28th May (11:00am – 4:00pm)

Hands-On is a new initiative which provides 4 hour crafting and baking workshops for elderly people, people with dementia and their carers, wheelchair users and people who are unable to stand for long periods of time.

The baking sessions take place in the barn at Heron Corn Mill, with participants working at table-height on a number of small, easy to follow recipes. The workshops are led by Kate & Linda, who have many years of experience working with older people and people with dementia.

Join us in our re-purposed and modernised 18th-century threshing barn for this joyful community event!

Register for Hands-On: Baking

Attending the workshop is FREE but numbers are limited. If you know anyone who would benefit, please email info@staging.heronmill.org or call 015395 64271 to register your interest, and we will do our best to accommodate your individual needs.

Visit our shop here, if you are interested in purchasing flour from the mill for your own baking adventures.
